Mit dem traditionellen "ersten Spatenstich" im Industriegebiet Reutlingen Nord (Mahden), begann am 30.Juni 2008 für die Spectra Computersysteme GmbH ein neues Kapitel in der Firmengeschichte. Die 1982 gegründete Firma betätigt sich als Distributor von Komponenten für die Mess-, Steuerungs- und Regelungstechnik. Das zweite und in den letzten Jahren immer erfolgreichere Standbein des Unternehmens ist die Entwicklung und Fertigung von kundenspezifischen Industrie-PC Systemen. Spectra reagiert mit diesem Neubau auf den stetig steigenden Bedarf an derartigen Lösungen im deutschen und europäischen Markt. Ein kontinuierliches und solides Wachstum in der Vergangenheit haben den alten Firmensitz in Leinfelden-Echterdingen an die Grenze der Belastbarkeit gebracht.
