Sun Microsystems bietet Resellern im Bereich digitaler Videoüberwachung (IPCCTV) eine günstige, offene Hardwareplattform, die mit Software namhafter Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) zu maßgeschneiderten Lösungen für das Videomanagement kombiniert werden kann. Die Plattform Enterprise Video Manager (EVM) steht neben den drei Konfigurationen EVMlarge für bis zu 660 Kameras, EVMmedium und EVMsmall nun auch in einer Einstiegsversion für acht bis 40 Kameras bereit. EVMentry besteht aus einem Sun Fire X2100 Server und einem Sun Storage J4200 Array mit redundanten Netzteilen und Lüftern. EVMentry lässt sich bis 48 Festplatten erweitern, der Einstieg ist ab 4300 EUR möglich.
