Im Zuge ihrer Konzernreorganisation hat die Panasonic Gruppe ihre europäischen Geschäftsbereiche Industrial Devices, Automotive Systems und Akkumulatoren in einem neu geschaffenen Geschäftsbereich Automotive & Industrial Systems (AIS) zusammengeführt und konzentriert.

Die Umsetzungsmaßnahmen in Deutschland betrafen insbesondere die Verschmelzung und die betriebliche Integration der deutschen Tochtergesellschaften Sanyo Components Europe, Panasonic Industrial Devices Sales Europe und Panasonic Automotive Systems Europe. Ab dem 1. Oktober 2014 wird der neu geschaffene Geschäftsbereich AIS von der Panasonic Automotive & Industrial Systems Europe GmbH als führendem Zulieferer von Systemen und Komponenten für die Automobilindustrie (E-Mobility-, Infotainment-, Connectivity- und Self-Driving-Lösungen), die Fertigungsautomationsindustrie sowie weitere Industrien betrieben.
