Fibonacci spekuliert an der Börse

Anlässlich des Jahres der Mathematik beginnt am 26. April 2008 an der TU Chemnitz eine populärwissenschaftliche Ringvorlesung mit einem Vortrag von Dr. Michael Lorenz

Am 26. April 2008 lädt die Fakultät für Mathematik der TU Chemnitz zur ersten Veranstaltung ihrer Ringvorlesung zum Jahr der Mathematik ein. Dr.Michael Lorenz, Hochschuldozent an der Fakultät für Mathematik, wird zum Thema "Fibonacci spekuliert an der Börse" referieren.

Leonardo Fibonacci, der wohl bedeutendste Mathematiker des Mittelalters, ist heute vor allem durch die nach ihm benannte Zahlenfolge bekannt. Bei den Fibonacci-Zahlen handelt es sich um eine Zahlenreihe, in der jedes Glied jeweils die Summe der beiden vorherigen Zahlen darstellt. Ein Ausschnitt der Fibonacci-Folge sieht also so aus: 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55.
