Am 30. März 2008 rückt die SonntagsUni an der TU Chemnitz Kunststoffe in den Blickpunkt. Sie sind aus unserem Alltag nicht mehr wegzudenken und man findet sie nahezu überall. Doch was sind eigentlich Kunststoffe?

Wodurch unterscheiden sie sich von anderen Materialien? Sind sie umweltschädlich? Und wie werden Kunststofferzeugnisse hergestellt?

Diesen und weiteren Fragen geht Prof. Dr. Michael Gehde, Inhaber der Professur Kunststoffe an der TU Chemnitz, auf den Grund und gibt einen anschaulichen Einblick in die Welt der Kunststoffe und ihrer Anwendungen.
