Für das Kalenderjahr 2022 ist bei Biodiesel gegenüber dem Jahr 2021 ein leichter Rückgang um 1 % auf 2,516 Mio. t (Vj. 2,560 Mio. t) zu verzeichnen. Die Beimischung von Bioethanol stieg demgegenüber um 3 % von 1,153 Mio. t auf 1,186 Mio. t.

Die noch vorläufige Statistik des Bundesamtes für Wirtschaft und Ausfuhrkontrolle (BAFA) für das Jahr 2022 weist einen Beimischungsanteil von 7,2 % bei Biodiesel und von 7,0 % bei Bioethanol aus. Insgesamt wurden im Jahr 2022 in Deutschland 34,7 Mio. t Diesel (B 7) und ca. 17,0 Mio. t Ottokraftstoff (E 5 / E 10) verbraucht.
