Über dieses Thema spricht Prof. Dr. Helmut Hillebrand, Meeresbiologe am Institut für Chemie und Biologie des Meeres (ICBM) der Universität Oldenburg am Sonnabend, 24. September 2011, 11:00 Uhr, in der Exerzierhalle am Pferdemarkt. Der Vortrag findet im Rahmen der Vorlesungsreihe "UNI AM MARKT" statt, die das Center für lebenslanges Lernen (C3L) organisiert.

In weiten Bereichen des Meeres geht die Artenvielfalt durch menschliche Einflüsse zurück. Überfischung, Verschmutzung und Klimawandel führen dazu, dass in vielen Lebensgemeinschaften Arten selten werden oder lokal verschwinden. Doch ist dies ein Grund zur Sorge?
