Neuer Vorsitzender der Informationstechnischen Gesellschaft im VDE (ITG) für die Amtsperiode 2006 bis 2008 ist Prof. Dr.-Ing. Alexander Röder (56), CIO von O2 (Germany). Mehrjährige Tätigkeiten als Mitglied der Geschäftsführung sowie als Aufsichtsratmitglied bei debis und T-Systems zeichnen ihn als Experten für Informationstechnologie aus. Röders Ziel ist, die Konvergenz von Informationstechnik und Telekommunikation als Thema voranzutreiben und dazu beizutragen, dass der Standort Deutschland durch Innovationen und deren Umsetzung in Produkten und Dienstleistungen an Wert gewinnt. Für die nächsten drei Jahre leitet der O2-Geschäftsführer Information Systems die VDE-Fachgesellschaft. Rund 11 000 Mitglieder der insgesamt 34 000 VDE-Mitglieder haben sich der ITG dqzvyotmjn.
