Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today launched four new 600-V FRED Pt Hyperfast rectifiers that reduce switching losses in high-efficiency PFC and SMPS applications with their extremely fast and soft reverse recovery times, together with low forward voltage drop.

The new assembly layout diode products represent the most efficient and cost-effective silicon-based solutions for high-efficiency applications, and are able to meet all of the most stringent regulations. The four devices released today are optimized for high-efficiency PFC and high-power-efficiency SMPS applications, and as adaptors for desktop PCs, servers, wide screen PDPs and LCDs, hybrid systems, UPS, and solar power systems.
