New appointment to VNG Supervisory Board

General Meeting appoints Hans-Jörg Scheliga member of Supervisory Board

The shareholders of VNG - Verbundnetz Gas Aktiengesellschaft (VNG) appointed the Chairman of the Board of Management of Stadtwerke Rostock AG, Hans-Jörg Scheliga, a member of the Supervisory Board at today's Extraordinary General Meeting. Scheliga has been a member of the Board of Management of Stadtwerke Rostock since the utility was founded in 1990, and has been its Chairman since 2003. Stadtwerke Rostock is a shareholder of VNG and of Verbundnetz Gas Verwaltungs- und Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH (VuB).

The election to the VNG Supervisory Board was made necessary by the resignation of former member Rainer K. Otto on February 15, 2010.
