Die drahtlose Kommunikation per Bluetooth® und GSM/GPRS eröffnet wirtschaftliche Lösungen, ohne Kabelverlegen. Zudem haben Wireless-Technologien den Vorteil, dass sie von der Zündschutzart des jeweiligen Sensors weitgehend unabhängig sind und damit z.B. keine weiteren Ex-Barrieren benötigen. Deshalb nutzt die neue Ex-Box aus der Produktreihe TO-PASS® von WAGO, die Ende des 2. Quartals lieferbar sein wird, beide Technologien, um I/O-Signale aus explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen anzubinden. Gemeinsam mit der Firma ORI Abwassertechnik GmbH entsteht eine Komplettlösung, die gemäß ATEX II 2G IIB T4 zertifiziert ist. Damit darf sie in explosionsgefährdeten Umgebungen der Zone 1 betrieben werden.
