YOKOHAMA stellt vom 20. bis zum 28. April auf der Auto China aus, die im Zweijahresrhythmus in Peking stattfindet. Zum zehnten Jubiläum im Jahr 2006 stellten rund 1.500 Unternehmen aus und 600.000 Besucher kamen. Damit ist sie neben der alternierend stattfindendenden Automesse in Shanghai die wichtigste Veranstaltung ihrer Art in China. YOKOHAMA möchte diese Gelegenheit nutzen, den Wiedererkennungswert der Marke in dem wichtigen Boommarkt sukzessiv zu erhöhen. Bisher ein Problem: In China wird die Buchstabenfolge YOKOHAMA völlig anders ausgesprochen als in Japan oder der westlichen Welt.
