Golden Compound GmbH

Die Golden Compound GmbH wurde im Jahr 2014 als 50:50-Joint-Venture zwischen der SPC Sunflower Plastic Compound GmbH und Cargill gegründet. Seit ihrer Gründung beschäftigt sie sich intensiv mit der Entwicklung von Werkstoffen mit Sonnenblumenschalen.

Im Oktober 2014 wurde in einem neu errichteten Werk im nordrhein-westfälischen Ladbergen mit der Produktion von 3.000 Tonnen S²PC (Sustainable Sunflower Plastic Compound) pro Jahr und der Vermarktung der Werkstoffe begonnen. Seit Anfang 2016 ist die Golden Compound GmbH eine hundertprozentige Tochtergesellschaft der SPC Sunflower Plastic Compound GmbH und baut ihre Produktionskapazität kontinuierlich aus. Das Portfolio umfasst aktuell die folgenden Werkstoffe: GC pro, ein langanhaltendes Biokomposit bestehend aus PP/Rezyklat kombiniert mit Sonnenblumenkernschalen, sowie GC green, einem Biokomposit vorwiegend bestehend aus Bio-PBS kombiniert mit Sonnenblumenkernschalen mit heimkompostierbaren und erdabbaubaren Eigenschaften. Darüber hinaus vertreibt die Golden Compound GmbH noch heimkompostierbare Kaffeekapseln für die Nespressomaschinen unter dem Namen HOMEcap, sowie einpflanzbare Pflanztöpfe unter dem Namen NATURALpot.
