Die Initiative D21 ist ein gemeinnütziger Verein mit Sitz in Berlin, der 1999 mit dem Ziel gegründet wurde, die digitale Spaltung der Gesellschaft zu verhindern. Mit seiner nun knapp 20-jährigen Erfahrung setzt sich der Verein gemeinsam mit seinem branchenübergreifenden Netzwerk aus Politik und Wirtschaft dafür ein, die durch die Digitalisierung entstehenden gesellschaftlichen Herausforderungen in all ihren Facetten zu erfassen und die Bürgerinnen und Bürger zu befähigen, sich selbstbestimmt in der digitalen Welt bewegen zu können. Rund 200 Mitgliedsunternehmen und -organisationen aller Branchen sowie politische Partner von Bund und Ländern bringen gemeinsam in diesem Netzwerk praxisnahe Non-Profit-Projekte voran. Der Verein ist engagiert, den Diskurs zwischen Politik, Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und Zivilgesellschaft zu verbessern. Mehr unter www.initiatived21.de
