Das IREES – Institut für Ressourceneffizienz und Energiestrategien arbeitet im Bereich der nachhaltigen Energie- und Ressourcennutzung mit Fokus auf neue Technologien und Dienstleistungen für Unternehmen, energieintensive Produktionsprozesse und im Gebäudebereich. Unsere Projekte führen wir in interdisziplinären Teams mit energietechnischer, ökonomischer und sozialwissenschaftlicher Expertise durch. Dabei werden insbesondere 

- Markthemmnisse und deren Überwindung durch Politikmaßnahmen analysiert, 

- technische Lösungen bewertet und sektorale Energieszenarien erstellt sowie 

-Energie- und Klimaschutzstrategien für Quartiere, Unternehmen, Städte und Länder entwickelt.  

Unsere Ergebnisse erzielen wir durch die Modellierung komplexer Energiesysteme, ingenieurtechnische und ökonomische Analysen sowie die empirische Sozial- und Innovationsforschung.
