Die Yukatel GmbH wurde 1995 vom heutigen Geschäftsführer Yusuf Karatas gegründet. Das Unternehmen konzentriert sich auf den Mobilfunk-Großhandel und bietet darüber hinaus mit den Eigenmarken routecontrol, M2M Unity und NEXTwawi, innovative Hard- und Softwarelösungen im Bereich GPS Telematik und M2M/IoT an. Mit Beginn des Geschäftsjahres 2021 gab Yukatel bekannt, dass der bisherige COO Mehmet Karataş zum Geschäftsführer der Yukatel GmbH aufsteigt. Das in Dreieich ansässige Unternehmen, wird somit seit 2021 durch den Gründer und Geschäftsführer Yusuf Karataş und Mehmet Karataş vertreten.

Seit der Saison 2023/2024 ist Yukatel Hauptsponsor und Namensträger des türkischen Süper Lig Fußballvereins - Yukatel Adana Demirspor.
