The Victum-Tablet 27 is based on a 1.1 GHz Intel-Ultra-Low-Voltage-Pentium-M-733-Processor. The Tablet PC is a slate without keyboard. As an option a wireless keyboard IP54 is available which can communicate wireless via infrared port with the Tablet PC. The Victum-Tablet 27 has a 10.4 Inch XGA-TFT-Display with 1024 x 768 pixels. A sunlight readable high-contrast Display for best sunlight readability is optional available. The unit can be ordered with a resistive touch screen for operation by finger or with a digitizer.
More technical features of the Victum-Tablet 27 are: Up to1 GByte of RAM, a 2.5 Inch HDD embedded in a shock mount with up to 80 GByte.
I/O-ports – like 1 RS232 serial port, 1 USB-2.0 port, 1 VGA port, 1 56K Modem RJ11, 1 PCMCIA slot Type I/II, 1 IrDA port, 1x Dockingstation connector, 1 Micro jack, 1 Line-Out jack, 1 DC-In jack and for wireless communication 1 IEEE802.11b/g-WLAN module. The Tablet-PC supports AC97-Audio sound with 1 built-in speaker. A small LCD display in the front bezel of the Tablet PC informs the user about the status of the unit like brightness control, volume of the speaker or charge state of the batteries. The Victum-Tablet can carry 2 batteries, one of them is exchangeable and hotswapable. Battery lifetime is approx. 4 hours normal use.
The unique feature of the Victum-Tablet 27 is its internal X-Bay for pre-configured X-Bay modules. 4 different modules are available. Module 1 offers 2 additional RS232 ports, 1 LAN 10/100MBit with RJ45 jack, 1 IEEE 1394 Firewire jack and 1 additional USB 2.0 port. Module 2 offers 1 additional PCMCIA slot Type I/II, so the Tablet PC possesses 2 PCMCIA slots. Module 3 has 1 GSM/GPRS wireless WAN modem, and module 4 offers 1 GSM/GPRS wireless WAN modem, 1 Bluetooth and 1 GPS receiver for satellite navigation. With these modules the Victum-Tablet 27 can be reconfigured within seconds.
The Victum-Tablet 27 has a small and slim housing which measures 297 mm x 239 mm x 43 mm only. The total weight of the unit is less than 5 lbs. with 2 batteries. The standard temperature range operational
is 0°C through +60°C, storage -40°C through +70°C. For lower operation temperatures there is a low-temp-option available. This option includes a HDD heating, screened components and a climatic test in a climatic chamber for 24 hours.
With 4 screw holes in the backside of the housing the Victum-Tablet 27 can be easily mounted on walls, in vehicles of any kind or forklifts as mobile terminal. An AC-Adapter with 100 V - 240 V Input comes as standard with the Tablet PC a DC-Adapter with 12 V - 32 V is option.
