Acturion Datasys, specialized solution provider in the field industrial- and military mobile computing, releases with the new Victum-Tablet-iX104C3 a full-ruggedized Tablet PC for mobile applications in very harsh environmental conditions – like extreme temperatures, rain, dust, sand, vibration and drop on concrete. The new Victum-Tablet iX104C3 can withstand drops on concrete from 1m while it is in operation. The Tablet PC has a totally closed full-metal housing made of tough light metal alloy. The enclosure fulfils IP65 protection class and fully complies with the standards CE class B, FCC class B, UL, MIL-STD810F and ATEX Zone 2 Category 3.
The Victum-Tablet-iX104C3 is based on a 1.2 GHz Intel-Ultra-Low-Voltage-Pentium-M-753-Processor. The Tablet PC is a slate without keyboard. It has a 10.4 Inch XGA-TFT-Display with 1024 x 768 pixels. An AllVue-Technology Display for best sunlight readability is optional available. With the AllVue Technology the display is excellent readable even in bright sun. Another outstanding feature is the DualMode option where the unit can be operated by finger and/or pen. The DualMode option combines a digitizer and a touch screen. The Victum-Tablet iX104C3 turns off the touch screen automatically when a digitizer pen is in operation. For secure User Log-On the Tablet PC has a fingerprint-sensor.
More technical features of the Victum-iX104C3 are: up to1 GByte of RAM, a 2.5 Inch HDD embedded in a shock mount with up to 80 GByte and all I/O-ports of a state of the art Tablet PC – like 2 USB-2.0 ports, 1 VGA port, 1 10/100/1000-Base-T-LAN port RJ45, 1 56K Modem RJ11 and for wireless communication 1 IEEE802.11a/b/g-WLAN port. Other available options are a Bluetooth module, a GSM/GPRS module or a GSM/GPRS/ EDGE-Quadband-module. The Tablet-PC supports AC97-Audio sound with 2 speakers and a microphone. Brand new is the user accessible PCMCIA slot Type I/II and the user accessible SIM card slot.
