Das integrierte Hybrid-Gateway SMT 7000 von Samsung ermöglicht die Nutzung verschiedener Dienste über DSL-Breitbandanschluss und Satellit - von "Entertainment-on-Demand"-Angeboten wie Musik, Spiele und Video über digitalen Satellitenempfang bis hin zur Vernetzung von digitalen Geräten im Haushalt. Mit dem Flash Player Software Development Kit (SDK), das in die Set-Top-Boxen integriert wird, können Anbieter von Unterhaltungsprogrammen und Service-Provider dynamische und multimediale Benutzeroberflächen für das TV-Gerät gestalten. Über den Macromedia Flash-Player lassen sich so auch Rich-Internet-Applikationen, Spiele oder interaktive Programmführer am heimischen Fernseher nutzen.

Bereits mehr als 75 Elektronik-Hersteller, Mobilfunk-Betreiber und Service-Provider nutzen Macromedia Flash in ihren Produkten, um sich damit von ihren Wettbewerbern abzuheben. Gleichzeitig können sie auf das Potenzial der weltweit mehr als eine Million Entwickler zurückgreifen, die mit Hilfe von Macromedia Flash MX 2004 interaktive Inhalte gestalten.
