Mit dem Lightroom Export SDK ist die Entwicklung von Plug-ins moeglich, welche die Verknuepfung des Export Dialogs von Lightroom 1.3 mit Werkzeugen, Webseiten oder Geraeten von Drittherstellern erlauben.
"Abhaengig vom Feedback aus der Entwickler-Community werden wir evaluieren, wie sich das SDK auf andere Aspekte des Workflows ueber den Export hinaus ausweiten laesst", so Tom Hogarty, Produktmanager fuer Photoshop Lightroom. "Das Endergebnis wird Fotografen in die Lage versetzen, ihre Workflows noch individueller anzupassen und weiter zu optimieren. Entwickler erhalten mittels dieser Vorschau auf kommende Technologien die Moeglichkeit, Feedback zu geben und die zukuenftige Architektur von Lightroom mitzugestalten. Uns liegen bereits zahlreiche Anfragen bezueglich eines SDK vor, welches Bildbearbeitungs-Plug-ins ermoeglicht, die denen fuer Photoshop aehnlich sind. Unser Schwerpunkt liegt jedoch auf einer Verbesserung des fotografischen Workflows, indem die Verbindung mit Werkzeugen, Funktionalitaeten und Diensten verbessert wird, die in Lightroom bisher nicht zur Verfuegung stehen."
Das Lightroom 1.3 Update und das Camera Raw 4.3 Plug-in unterstuetzen sieben zusaetzliche Digitalkameras, darunter die Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III, Canon PowerShot G9, Nikon D3, Nikon D300, Olympus E-3, Olympus SP-560 ZU und Panasonic DMC-L10. Lightroom 1.3 bietet eine verbesserte Unterstuetzung fuer Apple Leopard Mac OS X 10.5 und behebt bekannte Kompatibilitaetsprobleme.
