Die AGO AG Energie + Anlagen (WKN: A0LR41; ISIN: DE000A0LR415) hat zum ersten Mal in ihrer 28jährigen Unternehmenshistorie einen Auftrag als Technischer Generalunternehmer in Südafrika gewonnen. In Gauteng, einem Vorort von Johannesburg, ist AGO für die Planung, Lieferung, Montage und Inbetriebnahme einer Energiezentrale verantwortlich. Auftraggeber für die Heißwasseranlage mit einer Gesamtleistung von 20 MW ist Europas größte Brauerei Heineken. Der Auftragswert der Energiezentrale für die neue Brauerei von Heineken South Africa beträgt EUR 3,75 Millionen.
Optional wird eine dritte Kessellinie mit einem Auftragswert von ca. EUR 1,0 Millionen und ein über vorläufig fünf Jahre andauernder Wartungsvertrag inklusive der Lieferung von Ersatzteilen verhandelt. Durch die reguläre Wartung und die Fernüberwachung der Heißwasseranlage erzielt die AGO AG Energie + Anlagen ab Inbetriebnahme im Juni 2009 jährliche Umsätze im sechsstelligen Bereich.
Zur Befeuerung der Versorgungsanlage sollen drei verschiedene Brennstoffe, hauptsächlich die konventionellen Energieträger Erdgas und Heizöl, verwendet werden. Das aus der betriebseigenen Abwasseranlage kostenlos verfügbare Biogas wird ebenfalls als Brennstoff verwertet.
