Fast characterisation and shorter development time

Fast Charging (OBCs) with the SiC BeFAST Kit

(PresseBox) (Zürich, )
.
The new BeFAST Evaluation Kit enables rapid deployment of SiC Cascodes

Angst+Pfister Sensors and Power presents the new BeFAST Kit for fast and cost-effective evaluation and characterisation of SiC cascodes from United Silicon for on-board chargers (ODB) or industrial chargers. The evaluation kit was developed in such a way that the components used, the layout and the control meet the test requirements for charging applications. Depending on the design, the kit can be operated in the familiar double-pulse test, or in conjunction with a heat sink under load. With the purchase of the BeFAST, the customer receives not only the kit but also a set of assembled NTC based Thermistors and further documentation on the design and thus avoids the time-consuming iteration steps. Further versions for future generations of products are in development.
