Piezoresistive MEMS Drucksensoren haben bekanntlich den Effekt dass sie über längere Zeit, aus Technologischen Gründen, einen Offset Drift aufweisen. Um die beste Performance zu erreichen, sollte deshalb der Offset nach der Bestückung und je nach Applikation über den Produktlebenszyklus neu abgeglichen werden. In manchen Applikation ist dies kein Problem. In einem bestimmten Betriebszustand ist der Druck bekannt und so kann über die Software der Offset automatisch korrigiert werden. Bei anderen Endprodukten ist ein Serviceinterwall definiert, innerhalb dieser Zeit wird ein Kalibration durchgeführt um die Spezifikation sicherzustellen. Es gibt aber auch Anwendungen bei denen über den gesamten Lebenszyklus kein Offset Abgleich möglich ist. Hier muss der Offset Drift über die Jahre bei der Genauigkeits- bzw. Fehlerberechnung berücksichtig werden. Viele Hersteller geben diese Daten weder im Datenblatt noch auf Anfrage an – dies aus unterschiedlichen Gründen. Bei der Fujikura A-Series die 2014 lanciert wurde, zeigen nun die Langzeitdaten, dass die Sensoren fast keinen Offset Drift mehr aufweisen. Das ist ein Novum bei den piezoresistiven MEMS Drucksensoren und bring Vorteile und Kostenersparnisse bei viele Applikation.
