Eröffnet wird der bayerische Kick-Off um 15 Uhr mit Grußworten von Herr Karl Schumacher, Ministerialrat im Bayerischen Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Infrastruktur,Transport und Technologie, das auch in diesem Jahr die Schirmherrschaft des ESNC übernommen hat. Weitere Grußworte spricht Frau Dr. Jutta Graf, Leiterin des Standorts Oberpfaffenhofen beim Deutschen Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR).
Im Mittelpunkt der Veranstaltung stehen die Ausschreibungen der neuen Spezialpreise mit Präsentationen vom Deutschen Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt, der Europäischen Raumfahrtagentur (ESA), der Europäischen Aufsichtsbehörde für Satellitennavigationssysteme (GSA), dem Weltmarktführer für digitale Karten, der Firma NAVTEQ, dem Madrid Aerospace Cluster und der SatNav-Initiative Baden-Württemberg. Zudem werden die neuen Partnerregionen dieses renommierten Ideenwettbewerbs vorgestellt und ehemalige Teilnehmer präsentieren ihre Erfolgsgeschichten bei der Umsetzung ihrer Geschäftsideen. Diese GNSS-Anwendungsbeispiele reichen von Identifikationstechnologien für die Holzwirtschaft über Tracking-Lösungen und GPS-Gaming bis hin zur Optimierung von Gefahrguttransporten. Ein anschließendes Get-Together im Galileo Kontrollzentrum rundet das Programm ab.
