Christian Baumgartner, Founder and Chairman of the Arcondis Group and the Arcondis Foundation, expressed enthusiasm for the selection: “mOm Incubators has impressed us with their commitment to innovation, impact, and sustainability. By addressing the critical need for neonatal care in resource-limited settings, they are making a significant contribution to improving global health.”
The grant will allow mOm Incubators to expand its reach into underserved regions, where conventional incubators are often unavailable or impractical due to infrastructure and cost constraints. Their portable, energy-efficient solution can be deployed in a wide range of healthcare settings, from rural clinics to conflict zones, helping save the lives of premature infants who otherwise might not survive.
“We are thrilled to support mOm Incubators in their mission to improve newborn care in developing regions,” said Christian Hebich, CEO of Arcondis Group. "Their scalable solution aligns with our vision of making healthcare better, globally, and we are excited to support their journey toward creating a meaningful, lasting impact."
mOm Incubators was selected from a global pool of innovative life sciences start-ups that share a commitment to creating positive social impact. Selection criteria included alignment with the Arcondis core values of sustainability and societal impact, scalability of the solution, and a detailed plan for how the grant will be utilised to amplify their work. Arcondis’ employees were given the unique opportunity to select the grant winner based on the top 3 selection from the Arcondis Foundation Board.
“We are incredibly honoured to receive this grant from the Arcondis Foundation. We are looking forward to working with the team and seeing the impact that this is going to make,” said James Roberts, Founder and CEO of mOm Incubators. "This funding will help us continue our mission of giving every child the best start in life through smarter healthcare technology, wherever they are.”
The Arcondis Foundation, established in 2017, fully owns the Arcondis Group and has a dual focus: ensuring sustainable employment within the group and supporting social responsibility initiatives. By offering this grant, the Foundation furthers its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the development of healthcare solutions that benefit society at large.
