With the increasing demand for hollow parts with internal thread, Arnold Umformtechnik, headquartered in Forchtenberg, Germany, and part of the Würth Group, has taken the decision to expand its existing product line. In future Arnold will be including several new special components in its product portfolio. To manufacturer these new components, Arnold opted to purchase machinery made by Streicher Maschinenbau GmbH. The machine meets Arnold's quality criteria requirements in full. Furthermore Arnold is now also able use the same machine to manufacture previously existing product lines .
With the development of special components, the trend is to combine an increasing number of functions into one component. And it must also be possible to manufacturer the components economically. By extending its range, Arnold Umformtechnik is in a position to produce all types of hollow and pocket hole components, with or without threads. The crucial factor in the decision to work with Streicher Maschinenbau GmbH was primarily its expertise in application versatility and also in different production methods, such as thread-tapping and forming, drilling, reaming and counter-sinking. The new product line will be set up at the Forchtenberg plant by the end of 2005 and the first products will come off the line at the beginning of 2006.

Whereas the Arnold name has always signified and still does stand for “fasteners”, in recent years the range of products has expanded.
