- arvato Systems sponsors Ada Lovelace Festival (Berlin, October 27-28)
- Leading IT sector employer will provide information on career opportunities for women in the industry
Ada Byron Countess of Lovelace (1815 – 1852) – known as Ada Lovelace – was a British mathematician and is known as the world’s first programmer. In the late 19th century she developed a program for an “Analytical Engine”, a calculating machine designed by Charles Babbage, which - while it was unfortunately never built - is considered to be the forerunner of the modern computer. 200 years after her birth, this festival named after the software pioneer serves as a hub for professionals and young professionals from the information and technology sector. The main areas of focus are industry trends, research results and success stories from women in IT. By mixing industry-related professional meetings and networking into the distinctive atmosphere of a festival it is hoped that the conference will make a contribution to increasing the proportion of female professionals in the IT and telecommunications sector.
“arvato Systems employs around 20% women for whom IT is more than just binary code. We hope to continue to increase the proportion of women and hope that more female IT specialists will be attracted to our company and will become members of our team. Our presence at the Ada Lovelace Festival allows us to showcase our company and increase our visibility as a top employer in the world of IT”, comments Siegfried Bloch, Chief Human Resources Officer, arvato Systems Germany.
The arvato Systems Recruiting Team will be at the booth and will be happy to answer questions and provide information on career opportunities with the IT systems integrator.
