- International trade press praises arvato Systems IT solution for simplifying collaborative editing in the video production process
- Launched at NAB 2015, “EditMate” wins the IBC TVTechnology Best of Show Award
- The software tool manages the full range of editing tasks, integrates project management directly into Adobe® Premiere® Pro CC, and has been enhanced with innovative new modules.
arvato Systems was present again this year at Amsterdam’s IBC, the most important European trade show for Broadcast & New Media, ready to demonstrate an extensive portfolio of IT solutions and services designed especially around this industry. During the event, the internationally known publishing group NewBay Media Broadcast & Video used criteria such as innovation, scope of features, cost efficiency and customer and user benefits, to select outstanding solutions in key industry categories.
This year, arvato Systems submitted the “EditMate” solution that was launched at the beginning of the year. The tool had already received extremely positive feedback from the IABM jury at NAB 2015 in Las Vegas, where it reached the final round, and with the new release, it won the TVTechnology Best of Show award.
The award-winning arvato Systems solution simplifies collaboration and comes at a time when an increasing quantity of editing projects and media files put pressure on everyone involved in the video production process. In this environment, “EditMate” handles the full range of editing tasks – even across non-linear platforms. For the first time, the solution enables project management directly within Adobe® Premiere® Pro CC.
“Core functionality, such as the administration of thousands of editing projects, project locking, centralized purge management, template administration, as well as seamless integration with the “VPMS” Media Asset Management System are in themselves very compelling features,” explains Stefan Eckardt, Head of Product & Presales at arvato Systems.
“With the “EditMate” Proxy for journalist editing as well as Project Parking and Ingest, the new release adds even more to the existing module set. These additional benefits round out the power of “EditMate” and were certainly decisive factors for the positive evaluation,” adds Holger Noske, Vice President Digital Media Management.
