- Broadcast management system for TV channel focusing on U.S. sports
- arvato Systems expands its collaboration with Sport1 GmbH
SPORT1 US focuses on providing a broad range of first-rate U.S. sports. Sport1 GmbH expanded its existing broadcast rights for several sports organizations, including the National Football League (NFL) and the National Basketball Association (NBA). Additionally, the company acquired comprehensive rights for NCAA College Football and NCAA College Basketball, as well as for the IndyCar Series races.
Sport1 GmbH selected solutions from arvato Systems to meet its broadcast management needs. The company is already using arvato’s Avatega for channel management processes of the free-TV channel SPORT1. Now, Avatega is also being implemented at SPORT1 US. Based on Microsoft technologies, the system provides comprehensive media-related functionality in the areas of license and materials management and program scheduling as an ‘out-of-the-box’ standard solution for all channel management functions. Additionally, it can be adapted and expanded in a number of ways, including via alert functions, workflow configurations, and/or any other configurations.
For the area of media sales, the Avatega AdSales module is also available. It provides support for all aspects of marketing advertising time.
At the IBC broadcasting trade fair in Amsterdam this September, arvato Systems will present its latest ‘all-in-one’ version of Avatega, which will also be implemented at Sport1 this year.
At the trade fair, arvato will demonstrate how Avatega can be used to manage and plan licensing rights across various distribution channels. In this way, business processes from the linear world and the non-linear world can be operated from the same source. Moreover, Avatega can also be used to directly manage video-on-demand platforms in combination with ‘Comet’ from Swedish software company June.
