Smart Digital Logistics Solutions – for a Balance Leading to Greater Efficiency and More Climate Protection

Arvato Systems at the 2022 LogiMAT

(PresseBox) (Gütersloh, Germany, )
  • The next stage of the Digital Transformation: collaboration along the entire supply chain
  • Reducing costs, effort, and emissions through automation and Artificial Intelligence
Arvato Systems will be an exhibitor at the 2022 LogiMAT in Stuttgart, Germany. Visitors can learn about innovative solutions in the fields of warehouse and transport management, as well as in the field of supply chain collaboration from 31 May to 2 June. The exhibit will be held at Booth F55 in Hall 8. Other key topics include new delivery concepts (including route optimization), intelligent applications in warehouse logistics and master data management, and the use of chatbots.

Arvato Systems will present its latest developments in the fields of intralogistics and warehouse, and transport management at the 2022 LogiMAT – everything from agile implementation methods to cloud-based solutions and optimization services, to mobile apps for areas such as production, assembly, and maintenance. Regarding the topic of supply chain collaboration, Arvato Systems will also present new solutions for simplifying cooperation between various partners in the supply chain and for automating processes. “We have many years of experience in the field of IT-based mapping and optimization of logistics processes within companies and between players in the supply chain,” says Christoph Tieben, Senior Manager SAP Logistics at Arvato Systems. “We offer a basis for digitalizing logistics within a company and beyond with S/4HANA, SAP EWM, and TM, as well as the SAP Logistics Business Network. platbricks®, our own digitalization platform, extends these processes and provides modular building blocks that can be quickly implemented to further increase the level of digitalization. This combination creates a good, scalable starting point for working with our clients to digitalize their logistics processes for the future.”

Bernd Jaschinski-Schürmann, Head of Digital Supply Chain Management at Arvato Systems, emphasizes that “platbricks®, our modular cloud logistics platform, makes us very flexibly and efficient at closing our clients’ existing digitalization gaps along their supply chain. A modular system of more than 200 freely combinable functions and features enables targeted optimization through the use of smart pick-by-“x” solutions or intelligent AI-driven services for areas such as optimal resource planning. platbricks® also supports the seamless integration of cross-company processes, such as those involving multi-level distribution channels connected to microhubs, and same-day deliveries as well as supply chain collaboration applications, such as those for vendor managed inventory or yard and time slot management.”

Other innovations from Arvato Systems include AI-based applications, such as those for warehouse logistics or master data management – especially for error detection – as well as for chatbots. Examples of how new technologies can be used are the implementation of AI to optimize processes in the returns or outbound area and the optimization of routes in the warehouse. The integration of mobile devices for activities such as assembly support or the capture of malfunctions will also be among the solutions presented. Arvato Systems is also concerned with how logistics processes can be made more environmentally and climate friendly. Among other things, the company relies on smart applications for optimizing routes or for delivery concepts that include (partially) autonomous deliveries that reduce CO2 emissions, especially in the last mile.
