Atlantik Elektronik präsentiert das XBee WiFi-Modul von Digi. Dieses Modul ermöglicht branchenführende Low-Power, Seriell-zu-WiFi-Vernetzung im bekannten XBee-Formfaktor.

Aufgrund von XBee's gemeinsamen "Footprint" sowie dem Application Programming Interface (API), können Kunden nun ein Single-Board-Design für Wireless-Produkte umsetzen, das 802.15.4, ZigBee und ZigBee Smart Energy, 2,4GHz, 900 und 868MHz, WiFi sowie das proprietäre DigiMesh Protokoll unterstützt.

XBee-Module bieten Entwicklern ein hohes Maß an Flexibilität und sind extrem einfach zu bedienen", erklärt Ottmar Flach, Geschäftsführer der Atlantik Elektronik GmbH. XBee WiFi 802.11 b/g/n bietet Vernetzung sowie flexible serielle SPI und UART Schnittstellen und eignet sich besonders für Energiemanagement, drahtlose Sesor-Netzwerke sowie intelligentes Asset-Management.
