The company ELNA from Tangstedt is the new, exclusive partner of BOS AG for the marine market in Germany and distributes the LE300 Lithium Extension Batteries through its Ferropilot brand as a wholesaler. Thus, the new marine market for BOS AG is perfectly supported by the market competence of ELNA GmbH. In the future, ELNA customers such as shipyards, boat dealers or installers will be able to competently expand their product range with the LE300 battery.
Lithium and lead batteries in combination
The Lithium Extension Batteries LE300 are innovative hybrid storage batteries, which are combined with lead-acid batteries. This provides a stable and longer power supply for the on-board electrical system. In marine applications, the main advantages of the LE300 Lithium Battery are the capacity expansion of the existing lead-acid battery system without making any changes to the overall system and extending its service life. The combination of lithium and lead acid combines the advantages of both battery types and makes the overall system a stronger and more efficient storage battery system that is unique on the market. The lead-acid battery serves as backup storage while the lithium battery takes over the main charge cycles through automatic battery control. This increases the service life of both batteries up to 10 years.
High safety through TÜV certified lithium battery
Concerns regarding the safety of the lithium battery can also be dispensed with, as the LE300 battery is TÜV-tested by the E24 certification. This means that the lithium battery is extremely vibration and shock resistant and ideally suited for sea conditions. Additional advantages are the very simple installation, the significant weight saving due to the lightweight LE300 modules and the capacity that can be expanded at any time with additional LE300 modules. Winter resistance is guaranteed by an automatically installed heating system, which protects the lithium battery from damage at sub-zero temperatures.
