Silke Noack explained how artificial neural networks and the advangeo® Prediction Software can be used for different predictive mapping applications in geoscience. Beak, together with the Lausitzer und Mitteldeutsche Bergbau-Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH (LMBV mbH) and the Freiberg University of Mining and Technology (TU BAF), presented the results of a research project directed towards the development of an approach for the compilation of ground liquefaction hazard potential maps using the advangeo® Prediction Software. Enrico Kallmeier presented the developed semi-automatic system, which is able to quickly response to changing external conditions, such as changing ground water tables.
