Ein modernes Dokumentationszentrum für den Geologischen Dienst von Uganda

Ergebnisse ugandisch-deutscher Zusammenarbeit in Kampala vorgestellt

Beak stellt gemeinsam mit dem ugandischen Department of Geological Survey and Mines (DGSM) auf der „Mineral Wealth Conference“ (http://www.mineralwealthconference.ucmp.ug/...) am 1. und 2. Oktober in Kampala (Uganda) die Ergebnisse des Projektes „Establishment of a Modern Documentation Centre“ vor.
Die Präsentation wird von Dr. Frank Schmidt (Beak) und Grace L. Nassuna (DGSM) gehalten.

Beak hat von 2008 – 2012 mehrere Datenbanksysteme im DGSM, speziell dem Dokumentationszentrum in Entebbe, entwickelt, eingerichtet und die Nutzer geschult. Teil des Projektes war weiterhin die Erstellung eines Web-Portals zur Vermarktung des Bergbausektors von Uganda: www.uganda-mining.go.ug. Von dort ist auch die Online-Komponente Web-UDIS des von Beak entwickelten Systems Unpublished Documents Information System (UDIS) zugänglich.
