As a highlight, Beak together with the Geological Survey of Tanzania (GST) present the "Geological and Mineral Information System" (GMIS) hosting the geo-scientific data of the country, such as maps, mineral occurrence data, borehole data, geochemical and geophysical data, and providing this information to the Government, the private sector and to the general public.
The current status of the mineral and geological knowledge was used to create the “Minerogenic Map of Tanzania” (MMT) at a scale of 1:1,500,000 - as the base for evaluating the mineral potential of the country. Important data is available via http://www.gst.go.tz/ and http://www.gmis-tanzania.com/. Finally, Beak’s advangeo® Prediction Software was used to create mineral potential maps by using airborne geophysical data, geological maps, tectonic maps and the mineral deposit database. These maps are useful instruments to further develop the country’s mineral sector, to guide mineral exploration activities and to attract investment.
Beak will be represented at the trade show by Dr Andreas Barth and Enrico Kallmeier. Please visit us at booth 1213!
