At its stand, Berner & Mattner will present a multi-axis system being controlled by a smartphone via WLAN. This presentation will show how the sensor system built into the smartphone can be used by interacting with a model-based real-time control in order to control industrial plants and machines via WLAN in the future. Experts for developing and testing powerful electronic systems are thus addressing the current trend in industrial Human Machine Interfaces (HMI): The development of machine controls is not only influenced by the look and feel of mobile devices - the devices themselves are used as an operating panel.
Tablet as an Interface
Following the trend "Bring your own device", Berner & Mattner will also show a tablet-optimized HMI solution for controlling an electrical engineering test system as a project example of its customer OMICRON. "Corresponding to the consumer market, tablet solutions facilitate new business models in the industry and reduce development costs", says Dr. Christian Hock, Head of the Industry Division at Berner & Mattner. "System manufacturers will save the costs for hardware development for mobile operating solutions, being able to use the basis software functionality on tablets and their comfortable deployment infrastructure for apps. According to their needs, system users can choose from a huge number of mobile end devices."
Berner & Mattner can provide interested customers with an individual methodical approach to rapidly develop touch HMI solutions that are easy to update. This approach has already been proven and tested in practice. Berner & Mattner offers to take on complete projects in this discipline - from the development of interaction concepts through to the realization for different platforms such as Android, iOS, Windows or Linux.
Presentation "Automated test sequence generation"
On February 28, 2013, at 12:00 am, Ute Zeppetzauer, Product Sales Manager at Berner & Mattner, will hold the presentation "Extended Combinatorial Testing with Test Sequence Generation" in session 23 of the embedded world Conference 2013. The lecture is about the extension of the Classification Tree Method which enables the automated generation of entire test sequences.
Test tools for higher efficiency
With CTE XL Professional, the tool for systematic test case generation, and MESSINA, the simulation and test platform, Berner & Mattner presents two major components for designing test processes. Both tools can easily be integrated into the development of embedded systems. At the same time, Berner & Mattner is offering customers to design and run complete test and integration systems with these tools. Early model-based test processes during development are suitable for increasing the quality and security of systems and for significantly reducing development times and costs.
