A new development and integration process is required due to the introduction of the AUTOSAR standard - at OEMs and TIER1s. In order to provide cross-regional and close customer support in realizing ECU developments according to AUTOSAR, Berner & Mattner concentrates its know-how in the Competence Center "AUTOSAR & Virtual Integration". The team consists of developers and engineers with many years of experience in AUTOSAR development and integration projects at OEMs and TIER1s. Moreover, they have profound knowledge of the most common AUTOSAR tool chains and stacks and are actively involved in AUTOSAR and ARTOP committees. The Competence Center acts independently of special interests of AUTOSAR tool chain and basic software. Berner & Mattner's independency gives its customers more freedom to choose their supplier strategy.
Virtual Integration
Today, a more efficient ECU development is not only achieved by an improved cooperation in compliance with standards, but also by the methods of virtual integration that save time and costs. Berner & Mattner has gained its reputation as an expert in the field of testing and validation. Based on its experience and the latest knowledge, the approach of virtual integration enables the Competence Center to test and validate systems already in the phase of requirements specification in development partnerships. Failure causes are thus already reduced in an early development stage and eliminated long before the actual integration test.
Engineering services
The services of the Competence Center "AUTOSAR & Virtual Integration" range from system layout design to model-based development and validation of ECUs, their functions and software components in various vehicle domains, the configuration and integration of AUTOSAR runtime environment (RTE), AUTOSAR basic software (BSW) and hardware (HW) through to the system test at the OEM. Along with the development services, Berner & Mattner offers technical consulting, such as in the fields of software architecture development and AUTOSAR migration paths, evaluation of new technologies as well as identification of required AUTOSAR components and modules.
