In order to meet high customer expectations with regard to quality and function, the Berlin subsidiary was opened in 2009, with a similar range of responsibilities to the head office in Gaimersheim near Ingolstadt. In March 2013, BFFT also opened an office in Regensburg, which develops software for automotive control units. The Wolfsburg site was also added in the same year. At this district town in the east of Lower Saxony, BFFT is working on E-Sound development and test station maintenance, among other things. In February 2014, BFFT employees also assumed responsibility for various Audi projects at Neckarsulm in Württemberg. The most recent milestone of the national expansion strategy will be marked by the spring 2014 opening of the "Audi Driving Experience Center" in Neuburg an der Donau, where BFFT will be responsible for event management, customer care, technology and service.
BFFT worldwide
Since 2012, BFFT staff has been handling various tasks for Audi customers in Győr, Hungary. 2013 saw the launch of "BFFT of America". In Belmont near San Francisco, BFFT develops mostly automotive software for the Electronics Research Laboratory (ERL) of the Volkswagen Group of America. In addition to the activities in the USA and Hungary, BFFT development engineers and specialists also work at other international locations of the Volkswagen Group. In England, for example, BFFT is involved in Bentley's test planning and management section in Crewe. In China, BFFT employees are working on several assignments for VW and Audi in the cities of Changchun, Beijing and Foshan. And since the beginning of 2014, BFFT has been supporting Lamborghini's test programming in Sant'Agata Bolognese in Italy.
