With 3,800 m² of surface area, the new hall offers ample space not only to later accommodate final assembly, service and logistics, but also to transform into a festival hall on the occasion of the opening ceremony. At the invitation of management, employees and their families celebrated the BINDER summer festival. Where beer tables stand still today and musical and culinary delights provide for the well-being, further progress will be made in the coming days. Once the final work is done, the floor will be sealed as the last step before the move in August.
It will be a challenge logistically. In just a few weeks, machines and employees will have to manage a move with restructuring. Thanks to detailed planning and intense preparation, this too will certainly be implemented on schedule. Then the factory at the Tuttlingen headquarters is ready to experience the BINDER production principle based on state-of-the-art workflows. This is based on the factory within a factory. Optimal workflows and shortest paths will positively affect the material flow through the plant. Gone are the days of double duty for employees and when the hallways got ever smaller.
Production in all areas will be cutting-edge by October and by then, the hopefully robust autumn business can be supplied with new simulation chambers. Employees can then expect new times. The new bright staff rooms in the mezzanine of hall 11 are already eagerly awaited. Nearly 30 open positions and in particular skilled workers are sought in support of production. In just 5 years if implementation is done from the 2016 plan, 33,000 units will be produced. This means doubling revenue to 120,000,000 Euro. An ambitious goal that can only be achieved by the support of employees and will to always be the best.
