Effiziente GFP-Reagenzien

Neuartige Antikörper für einen bis zu 80% schnelleren Nachweis des Grün-Fluoreszierenden Proteins (GFP) und GFP-Fusionsproteinen bietet die im Oktober 2008 gegründete ChromoTek GmbH aus Martinsried an, ein Spin-off der Ludwig-Maximilian Universität München (LMU). Die vier Molekular- und Zellbiologen rund um den Geschäftsführer Dr. Ulrich Rothbauer entwickeln weitere rekombinante Moleküle zum Nachweis verschiedener zellulärer Marker wie z.B. PCNA, DNMT1 oder Histonen. Im Fokus steht dabei die Analyse von lebenden Zellen mit der sogenannten HCA (high content analysis). Ferner sind Kits zur Affinitätsselektion transfizierter Zellen geplant, mit denen unterschiedliche Transfektionsraten bei transienten Transfektionen in Zukunft kein Problem mehr darstellen werden.
