So haben die Bedenken gegenüber Online-Banking und dem Einkaufen im Netz leicht abgenommen. Nur noch jeder vierte User verzichtet aktuell aus Sicherheitsgründen auf Internet-Bankgeschäfte, gut jeder fünfte (21 Prozent) auf Online-Shopping. Besonders stark nahmen die Bedenken gegenüber Mitgliedschaften in Sozialen Netzwerken ab. Im vergangenen Jahr blieb jeder achte Onliner (7 Millionen) den Netzwerken aus Sicherheitsgründen fern, mittlerweile ist es noch jeder zwölfte (4,5 Millionen).
Bei einer Frage sind die Onliner allerdings etwas vorsichtiger geworden: 42 Prozent der User nutzen lieber die Post, um besonders vertrauliche Informationen und wichtige Dokumente zu verschicken. Im Jahr zuvor waren es noch 39 Prozent. Kempf: "Normale E-Mails können leicht abgefangen und verändert werden. Daher empfiehlt sich eine Verschlüsselung oder das Nutzen neuer Angebote wie de-Mail oder ePost-Brief."
Zur Methodik: Die Angaben basieren auf Erhebungen des Instituts Aris für den BITKOM. Dabei wurden mehr als 1.300 Einwohner in Deutschland ab 14 Jahren befragt, darunter 1.000 Internetnutzer.
