BITZER products have been produced in Brazil since the 1950s. First with open drive compressors and later with all generations of semi-hermetic compressors. BITZER Brazil is the only manufacturer of semi-hermetic compressors in the southern hemisphere.
For Febrava 2013, the highlights will be the NEW ECOLINE semi-hermetic line of compressors and the new ECOSTAR condensing units for stationary applications. For the transport area, a new line of ROADSTAR aluminium compressors will be presented, with greater capacity and better efficiency.
Fernando Bueno, Managing Director of BITZER Brazil, adds, ‘FEBRAVA, now in its 18th edition, with 550 exhibitors and around 29,000 specialised visitors, is by far the most important trade show in the refrigeration and air-conditioning sector in Latin America. It’s as though we are at home, welcoming our friends, presenting technical innovations and our concept of pre- and post-sales services while strengthening our relationships.’
BITZER consolidated its presence in Latin America with the first Training and Technology Centre for systems operating with R22, R404A, R134a, subcritical and transcritical CO2, at its factory in São Paulo. Every year hundreds of engineers and technicians are trained in courses that cover the latest innovations in refrigeration and air conditioning systems for food retail and industry. The BITZER courses were developed in five modules: Compressor Basics, Transport Applications (compressors for air conditioning of buses, trains and refrigerated transport), Project Course (reciprocating and screw systems), Industrial Refrigeration (emphasis on NH3) and Commercial Refrigeration (emphasis on CO2) in Portuguese and Spanish.
BITZER Brazil was the precursor of CO2 technology in Latin America and since 2008 over 1,000 technicians have been trained in this technology. The focus of the BITZER Brazil Commercial Refrigeration course (emphasis on CO2) is to promote the technical refinement of a simple and objective way to apply carbon dioxide, used as a refrigerant in Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration systems, due to its high energy efficiency and eco-sustainability.
