The supervisory board of Bizerba, a family owned and operated technology and solution provider, consists of five members who represent the owner family Kraut. Mr. Andreas W. Kraut manages the company as its fifth-generation CEO.
Prof. Dr. Michael Ungethüm, the former chairman of the supervisory board, resigned for personal reasons at the end of 2019. In this function, he definitively supported the company, and with a great amount of success, on its growth and expansion course since 2010.
Dr. Eberhard Veit had been the deputy chairman of the supervisory board since 2011, and as the successor of Prof. Dr. Michael Ungethüm, assumed the position as chairman of this body. As the CEO of Festo for many years, he is considered a recognized expert in the industry with strong competence for new technologies and Industry 4.0.
With his experience and expertise in the areas of digitization, software and sales, Dr. Daniel Holz will be able to competently consult Bizerba in its development of new digital business models and in the transformation process on the path to becoming a software-based company.
With Dr. Jürgen Geißinger, a self-employed entrepreneur and former chairman of Schaeffler AG, the Bizerba supervisory board has gained a specialist in management and operations from the industrial and automotive sector. The strategic optimization of processes, especially in production, is becoming increasingly more critical in times of global supply chain structures.
Dr. Jochen Wolf, executive management spokesperson of the private equity firm BWK GmbH, will continue to hold a representative seat on the supervisory board.
Ms. Frigga Kraut is also still a member on the supervisory board, holding the position as the deputy chairman, where as head of the family she represents the owners.
In its new constitution, the supervisory board is extremely well positioned to act as a driving force behind the long-term business strategy.
