Ein neues, mobiles Data Terminal aus dem Hause Advantech gibt es bei Dr. Schetter BMC. Das TREK-753 kann vor allem im Bereich des Flotten- und Fahrzeugmanagements eingesetzt werden und ist vor allem auf Kommunikation ausgelegt: es nutzt in-vehicle-communication (LAN, CAN) genauso wie "Handy"-Verbindungen nach den CDMA-, HSDPA- oder GPRS-Standard. Außerdem ist es mit Empfängern für sowie GPS, WiFi und Bluetooth ausgerüstet.

Das Herz bildet ein Intel® ATOM™ Prozessor der Baureihe Z510, wodurch das Gerät besonders energiesparend wird. Es ist mit einem 7-Zoll-Touchscreen (16:9-Display, 800x480 Pixel) ausgestattet, so dass zur Bedienung keine externe Tastatur nötig ist. Als Betriebssystem ist Windows XP embedded installiert, Win CE 6.0 und Ubuntu Linux sind auf Anfrage möglich.

Besonders geeignet für den mobilen Einsatz in Fahrzeugen ist das TREK-753 wegen
- eingebautem GPS
- vielfacher Schnittstellen (CAN, USB, RS-232)
- erhöhtem Arbeitstemperaturbereich von -30° ... 60°C
- hoher Unempfindlichkeit gegen Spannungs- und Stromspitzen nach ISO7637-2
- hoher Vibrations- und Schocktoleranz (stoßfest bis 100G, 6ms)
- seiner vielfältigen, bereits eingebauten Möglichkeiten zur Fahrzeug-Diagnostik (CAN-Bus).
