Die EKI-152x- Serial Device Server verbinden serielle Geräte mit dem Intranet: RS32/422/485-Signale werden über Ethernet-Protokoll und LAN-Kabel ins Netzwerk integriert. Das ermöglicht eine einfache, sichere und kostengünstige Anbindung von Modulen zur Datenerfassung, Scannern, Waagen und Vielem mehr.
Im rauhen Industrie-Alltag kann oder will man nicht immer neue Leitungen verlegen, wenn schon ein LAN-Kabel vorhanden ist. Die EKI-Module von Advantech schaffen hier Ordnung, indem sie verschiedene Datenformate auf das Ethernet-Datenprotokoll abbilden und die Ethernet Infrastruktur nutzen.
Die robusten, kostengünstigen Geräte der EKI-152x-Serie (x=1,2,4,8,(1)6: Anzahl der seriellen Ports) garantieren höchste Zuverlässigkeit der Datenübertragung. Dies wird durch je zwei Ethernet-Ports und individuelle MAC-Adressen sichergestellt. Fällt eine Verbindung aus, übernimmt die andere automatisch alle Aufgaben.
Zusätzlich bieten die Geräte viele nützliche Funktionen wie automatische Datenflusskontrolle, verschiedene Operationsmodi wie COM Port Redirection (Virtual COM Port), TCP Server, Client und UDP Modus. Die Konfiguration erfolgt mit dem kostenlosen Advantech Serial Device Server Utility.
