BMW Museum
Spread across 5,000 square meters, visitors can admire 125 original showcases that represent the BMW brand's 90-year history. The admission fee of 12 Euros per family includes hourly guided tours. Children aged five and upwards and teenagers can also take advantage of the ample offering of educational events and get creative at designing an Art Car.
"Welcome the artists!" is the theme of June 28. The Munich Circus School of the Association People in Munich will present spectacular shows on the stage at the central BMW Plaza from 11 am to 4 pm. Budding young artistes are welcome to join in. Adults can also test their percussion skills for 30 minutes. Two artistes' coaches, six young artistes and two rhythm accompanists support the performing visitors.
The shows, scheduled to start at 11 am, 12.30 pm and 2 pm, begin with percussion intros, followed by elaborate acrobatic shows accompanied by rhythmic performances. After the shows, interested children and teenagers can participate in one of three workshops and feel like being the star of the show. Skills trained at the workshops include juggling, Diabolo, trampolining or building human pyramids. Children have the opportunity to test their talent at percussion for 30 minutes. Two artistes' coaches, ten young artists and ten rhythm accompanists support the visitors. The highlight of the Family Day is the trampoline jumping accompanied by percussion at 3:30 pm.
BMW Welt
On BMW Welt Junior Campus, children aged 7 to 13 can explore the facilities together with their parents and grandparents or participate in interesting programs. The "Discovering Mobility" workshop (12.45 - 13.55 pm) is all about research: At the Campus Lab, adults and children learn how to turn explosion power into motion and which sources of energy drive today's and will drive tomorrow's vehicles. Everybody who participates successfully will receive a diploma. The price is 4.50 Euros for adults and 3 Euros for children.
At 3.45 pm children and teenagers can join the Mobility Tour on Junior Campus to explore the world of mobility, at a reduced price of 5 Euros. On 460 square meters, Junior Campus' new Mobility Tour offers a variety of car-related learning and adventure experiences.
While their children participate in the Mobility Tour, parents can join BMW Tour Kompakt (4 - 5.20 pm) for a fascinating look behind the scenes of BMW Welt. The tour offers insights into the architecture, the automobile collection and the logistics behind the scenes as well as a special brand experience. Admission is 5 Euros.
On Family Sundays, there will also be a Children's Road Safety School in the foyer in front of the BMW Welt Auditorium. Children aged three to six are taught basic traffic rules in a playful way. And to prove to the children that road safety training can be lots of fun, they can put their theoretical knowledge into practice on a driving course. Pedagogically trained staff supervises and supports the young drivers. At the end of the training, children receive their own children's driving license. The training is offered from 11 am to 5 pm. The price per child is 3 Euros.
