Am Donnerstag, 23. April 2020, um 18:00 Uhr beginnt der paneuropäische Hackathon #EUvsVirus. Los geht es mit einer Eröffnungsveranstaltung. Die „Housewarming“-Party moderiert die Tech-Influencerin Céline Flores Willers. Zudem werden Christian Miele, Präsident des Bundesverband Deutsche Startups, sowie Oliver Brümmer, Gründer und CEO von The Hackathon Company, Grußworte sprechen. Dabei sind auch spannende Gäste aus der deutschen Gründerszene. Alle Teilnehmer und Partner aus Deutschland können bei der Eröffnung mit dabei sein.

Über den Hackathon #EUvsVirus
Die Europäische Kommission organisiert den ersten paneuropäischen Hackathon #EUvsVirus zusammen mit den Ausrichtern nationaler Hackathons in den Mitgliedsstaaten. Es baut auf nationalen Hackathons auf und hilft diese in Europa zu skalieren. Ziel ist es, die Zivilgesellschaft, Innovatoren, Partner und Investoren in ganz Europa zusammenzubringen, um innovative Lösungen für Herausforderungen im Zusammenhang mit dem Coronavirus zu entwickeln. Das Online-Event ist weit mehr als eine unverbindliche Ideenschmiede. Vielmehr bündelt es die klügsten digitalen Köpfe Europas. Die EU rechnet mit rund 30.000 Teilnehmern von Entrepreneuren, Start-ups, NGOs sowie privaten und öffentlichen Organisationen.
