BITMi startet „Software Hosted in Germany“ Partnermodell

Der Bundesverband IT-Mittelstand e.V. (BITMi) erweitert sein Gütesiegel „Software Hosted in Germany“ um ein Partnersiegel: Als „Software Hosted in Germany“-Partner können deutsche Cloud- und Hosting-Anbieter Teil der BITMi Initiative werden.

Unternehmen, die das Partner-Gütesiegel erhalten, bestätigen damit, ein deutsches Unternehmen zu sein, welches Hosting-Lösungen in Deutschland selbst anbietet und somit dem deutschen Recht, insbesondere dem deutschen Datenschutzrecht, BGB und HGB, zu unterliegen. Damit stellen sie die geeignete Infrastruktur zur Verfügung, mit der ihre Kunden problemlos das Gütesiegel „Software Hosted in Germany“ beantragen können.

Im Rahmen der Gütesiegelverleihung auf der CeBIT zeichnete der BITMi bereits die ersten drei Partnerunternehmen aus. „Mit unseren Mitgliedern Pironet, Profitbricks und SiT Consult haben wir direkt zu Beginn drei starke „Software Hosted in Germany“-Partner“, freut sich Martin Hubschneider, Vizepräsident des BITMi. „Nach dem Ende von Safe Harbor sind Daten auch mit dem neuen Privacy Shield bei amerikanischen Dienstleistern nicht sicher. Unser „Software Hosted in Germany“ Partnersiegel erleichtert Unternehmen die Auswahl der Dienstleister, die sich an den deutschen Datenschutz halten.“

Mit den drei Auszeichnungen folgt das „Software Hosted in Germany“-Partnersiegel der Erfolgsspur der beiden BITMi Gütesiegel „Software Made in Germany“ und „Software Hosted in Germany“, welche bereits insgesamt 370 Mal vergeben wurden.
