Despite its small diameter the well-priced displacement sensor is available in measurement ranges from 0...25 mm up to 0...250 mm with a non-linearity of up to 0.05 % F.S. Its excellent measuring accuracy is guaranteed even at movement speeds of up to 10 m/s due to a high-grade resistance line and two independently springy and noblemetal multifinger grinders picking-off the measuring signal. A highly precise friction bearing houses a free to move push rod that is easily hand-screwed to the measuring object by using the fine thread located at one end. The included mounting brackets enable an uncomplicated fixation and positioning of the sensor.
Its compact construction endears the displacement sensor to precision engineering domains. Position sensing on lifting platforms or spring deflection measurements on axes are further applications in which the sensor can fully exploit its performance characteristics. Optionally available special designs like protection against water jets (IP65) or various mechanical adaptation facilities considerably extend the sensor s scope of applications.
Depending on the sensor s employment the user has a manifold choice of measuring signal processing, either via simple measuring amplifiers with analog output, intelligent sensor interfaces with Profibus or USB connectivity or digital measuring indicators. In order to live up to the steadily growing quality requirements the sensor or the complete measuring chain can also be supplied with traceable calibration certificates.
