“The establishment of the first vacuum competence center in Austria is an impressive sign of progress for our city. We are also pleased that this will create further jobs in Korneuburg,” emphasized Christian Gepp, Mayor of the City of Korneuburg in his speech. “The products of both companies complement each other, and so Busch and Pfeiffer Vacuum are well equipped for the future,” explained Dr Britta Giesen, CEO of Pfeiffer Vacuum AG.
Also present at the event alongside Dr Giesen and Mr. Gepp were Kaya Busch, Co-CEO and Co-owner of Busch Vacuum Solutions, Daniel Sälzer, Managing Director of Pfeiffer Vacuum AG, Reinhard Schnitzler, current Managing Director of Pfeiffer Vacuum Austria, and Karl Seiberl, future Managing Director of Pfeiffer Vacuum Austria. In his speech, Kaya Busch wished both teams all the best for the new building and their joint future.
Busch Austria has been based at the Korneuburg location for 35 years. Now the company is realizing a building extension for Pfeiffer Vacuum Austria, which was previously located in Vienna. The extension is expected to be completed in December 2023. The new vacuum competence center will provide space for the 60 current employees from both companies. Additional jobs are planned for the Korneuburg site.
The joint building in Austria is the first step towards increased collaboration between Busch Austria and Pfeiffer Vacuum Austria in the future.
